What's Hot (GeeJay's Hot Topics)

Hi all!

And welcome to the What's Hot section of my page! I am sooo excited because, here I will talk about what's hot to me. Now although, some things may not be new to you all, but are new and wonderful to me. So bear with me.

Okay, my first topic on my What's Hot list is:

Jack Nicklaus' Golden Bear Lemonade made by the Arizona beverage company! Oh My Goodness! These drinks are sooo wonderful. They sell for 99 cents in your local convenient store and supermarket. My personal favorite is the Mango. I remember when I first started drinking it, it was like two weeks ago. I had the strawberry one and from there my soul felt that it momentarily left my body. It tastes so great guys you have to try it. But it is best to try super cold so you guys can get the total experience. It is well worth it, but if you feel it's not for you that's fine. Just give it a try and see if you like it! :)

Today in What's Hot features one of my favorite addictions...True Blood.
The fifth season starts on June 10th on HBO. It has been highly anticipated since Season 4 saw the death (?) of one our beloved characters Tara Thornton, played by Rutina Wesley. As some of you may know, I have a thing for vampires and I never turn down watching anything with vampires....well almost everything. True Blood stars Anna Paquin of The Piano and XMen movie fame. She plays Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress in a Bon Temps, Louisiana. Sookie has the ability to read people's thoughts, which has made her somewhat withdrawn from others. That's until she meets her first vampire, Bill Compton, played by Stephen Moyer. Sookie becomes intrigued with the fact that she can not read Bill's thoughts and let's just say things get interesting from there.

I can't wait to see the first episode! Now, that I know that Christopher Meloni of Law & Order: SVU is going to be in it! RAWR! So stay tuned and check your local listings for the show.

In this week's edition of What's Hot! is by far one of my favorite obessions....Burn Notice. I was first introduced to the show by my boyfriend a few years ago. I watched most of the first season and was hooked. The reason why I picked season 4 because I am about to start watching it soon. The thing that I love about this series is that it is so easy to (no pun intended) burn through each episode. It leaves you wanting more.

Burn Notice Season 4
Burn Notice stars Jeffery Donovan who plays Michael Weston, a government spy who is burned by the government agency he works for. In the spy world, to be burned means that you are blacklisted, every contact that you had, all your assets are frozen, you have no work experience. You basically have nothing. As the series progresses we are introduced to Michael's ex-girlfriend, Fiona Glenanne, a former IRA member from Ireland and ex-Navy SEAL, Sam Axe played by Bruce Campbell. Michael tries to find out who burned him and why. But it comes with a price. Since, he has no money Michael takes to helping civilians with problems that Michael seems more than equipped to handle.
As things begin to unfold, Michael has to worry about the safety of his family and friends as he continues his quest to find out the truth behind his burn notice.

If you're a fan of spies and espionage, then I think you would enjoy watching Burn Notice. Season 6 premiers on June 14, 2012 on USA. If you want to catch up on the series before the new season begins, you can purchase seasons 1-4 on DVD.

Scandal Season 7 Review...the deconstruction of Olivia Pope

Olivia Pope portrayed by Kerry Washington. Hi friends, I know it has been some time since I covered Scandal and I apologize. I have been watching multiple shows all at once, so it has been hard for me to get my reviews together. With that being said, I have a major gripe with the seventh and last season of Scandal. I want to start off by saying..."Where is Olivia and what the hell happened to her?!" As a viewer of the show since its first season, I have seen a lot of changes happen. From the departure of OPA alum Stephen at the end of season 1, Columbus Short's publicized departure from the show at the end of season 3, the death of James (which makes me still hate Jake) and so on. But this season has Liv as the head of B613 (Command) and she is quickly becoming the stuff that nightmares are made of. Liv has now taken to tactics that her father, Rowan would do when he was the head of the organization. But seriously, what happened to the lady in the white hat? Wher…

#30 Day Shipping Challenge: Day 2: What was your first ship?

Over the years, I have been fans of many ships. But, no ship has got me in my feelings as much as Buffy and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Angel). Buffy and Angel was my first ever ship. From the moment that they meet outside the Bronze to the moment after the fight with the mayor, Angel and Buff stare at each other from a distance as he turns to leave (Angel goes off to L.A. to have his spin-off series.) The ‘Bangel’ ship was the first tv couple that I had ever written fanfiction on. I don’t know, at 16 years old, they were thee ‘it’ couple...despite the fact that he was a 200 something year old vampire and she was a teenage girl groomed to be the Slayer (on paper this pairing is sooo not legal). But their relationship made for such interesting drama. Especially, after Angel turns into Angelus (Angel without a soul) after he and Buffy consummate their relationship. Things are never the same with these two, especially when Angelus begins to torture Buffy and the Scooby Ga…
